Bringing TruePreview in-house

Based on feedback from some of you — combined with some of my own insatiable desire for a challenge — I decided that since I am always touting and telling others to use Drupal, I should "eat my own dog food" and move the TruePreview project off of SourceForge.  I spent some time investigating Drupal's various project and issue-tracking modules but couldn't find exactly what I was hoping to find. So, I instead used the power of Drupal's Content Creation Kit and Views modules (along with the help of several others) to create a custom project and issue system, loosely based on the Project module, Trac, and other such pieces of software.

Moving the project here has pluses and minuses. I lose SF's popularity, infrastructure, and ubiquity, but I gain complete control over the system, I get to customize things exactly the way I want, and I get to learn some new things. If this was a gigantic project with thousands of followers and contributors, the story would probably be different, but I think this will serve us well.  I will also be able to use the same site and configuration for some other project ideas I have in the back of my head. Plus, it was fun!

So, check out the TruePreview project page, view the ticket queue, and submit your feature requests and bug reports!
